Ride the Horse Yo-Yo Tricks
The next two-handed yo-yo trick we're going to be working on is called ride the horse. It's kind of a funny name again like milk the cow, but it's good to practice. This actually helps, really helps your brain working on getting your hands to do two different things like rubbing your belly and patting your hand at the same time, that kind of thing. It takes a little practice to get it, but it's just practice. Ride the horse looks like this. You're actually looping with one hand and you're doing a hop the fence with your other hand. You can kinda see the riding the horse motion as you're doing this. It's kind of a funny movement but definitely a good thing to practice. So what you want to do, I think it's a lot easier to do loops with my nondominant hand so that's my left hand. So, you'll notice I start practicing with my left hand. You want to be able to do strong left-handed loops on your nondominant hand. Get that strong, and then you can start working on hop the fences at the same time. I found it was easier to do it in front of myself when I first started to just try and get this motion down. Again, I found it was a little bit easier when I first started since I have that whole non-simultaneous motion going to continue that so you'll notice they just slightly off of each other. And then with little practice, what you actually want to do is bring that hop the fence to your side, just down there to the back.
